Winter timetable 2019/2020 enters into operation at Hamburg Airport
A total of 53,000 flights are planned at Hamburg Airport for the 2019/2020 winter season, which equates to around 330 flights per day. This is the same level of service seen in the previous year. Almost 8.3 million seats are on sail, an average of 157 seats per flight. The airlines are offering passengers a diverse selection of sun, skiing and city trip destinations. A total of around 60 airlines are flying directly from Hamburg to approximately 130 destinations.
Airlines relocating temporarily from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1
In the night from 22 to 23 October, the airlines Aer Lingus, Iberia, Tarom, Vueling, Aegean Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines are moving from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Hamburg Airport. This temporary relocation is made necessary by the construction work being carried out to renew the baggage transportation system in Terminal 2, expected to be complete in May 2020. Once the construction work is finished, the airlines will return to Terminal 2.
Innovative IT system FAIR@Link makes processes at Hamburg Airport Cargo Center even more efficient
Hamburg Airport is one of the first airports in Germany to introduce the FAIR@Link Air Cargo Community System at its air cargo center. This neutral, IT-supported air cargo community system enables all companies involved in freight handling processes - in particular handling agents, forwarders, truckers and airlines - to optimize and accelerate their transport and freight processes for both import and export. Customs, security, dangerous goods and supply chain management processes are also supported - in many cases even automated.

The international music scene can easily be found during the Reeperbahn Festival as well as world-famous classical music stars at the Elbphilharmonie.
