Alitalia to fly from Hamburg Airport to Milan


For the start of the 2020 summer timetable, Alitalia is opening a scheduled route from Hamburg Airport: From 29 March 2020, the Italian airline will connect Hamburg with Milan Linate airport on a daily flight. With its inner-city location, the Alitalia hub of Milan Linate is ideal for business travellers, who benefit from the short journey to the centre of Milan.


Winter timetable 2019/2020 enters into operation at Hamburg Airport


A total of 53,000 flights are planned at Hamburg Airport for the 2019/2020 winter season, which equates to around 330 flights per day. This is the same level of service seen in the previous year. Almost 8.3 million seats are on sale, an average of 157 seats per flight. The airlines are offering passengers a diverse selection of sun, skiing and city trip destinations. A total of around 60 airlines are flying directly from Hamburg to approximately 130 destinations.


Airlines relocating temporarily from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1


In the night from 22 to 23 October, the airlines Aer Lingus, Iberia, Tarom, Vueling, Aegean Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines are moving from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Hamburg Airport. This temporary relocation is made necessary by the construction work being carried out to renew the baggage transportation system in Terminal 2, expected to be complete in May 2020. Once the construction work is finished, the airlines will return to Terminal 2.
